As Auction Administrator, Rebecca Nixon may be one of the first people you have contact with at Elstob & Elstob, as a large part of her role includes reception and answering general telephone enquiries and emails. She also assists with putting together the auction catalogues, as well as a whole host of other administrative duties that contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of the auction house. On the sale days themselves, you will find her operating one of the online bidding platforms and taking telephone bids.
Rebecca fine-tuned her front of house skills during an early career spent working in hospitality and events. This was consolidated by a period of several years at Queen Ethelburga’s Collegiate – an independent boarding and day school just outside York – first as school receptionist and then as assistant to the Faculty Leadership team. She joins Elstob & Elstob from her most recent role as Auction Administrator at Morphets Auctioneers in Harrogate, where she gained considerable experience in the antiques industry.
With a general interest in antiques and collectibles, Rebecca has a particular passion for vintage costume and textiles. Like all staff at Elstob & Elstob, she is dedicated to providing the very highest levels of customer care and service. She looks forward to helping all of our clients and ensuring that everyone has the best possible experience of buying and selling, whether they are seasoned regulars or first-time users of our services.
