We have just finalised our first set of valuation days that will be held at a wide range of venues across the North of England.

These ‘Antiques Roadshow-style’ events provide an ideal opportunity to have your possessions valued in a relaxed and informal way. We welcome all manner of contemporary and antique objects, including silver, ceramics, glassware, pictures, sculpture or other collectables.

The first event of the year will take place at The Station in Richmond, North Yorkshire – a former Victorian railway station and top tourist destination – on Friday 1 February between 10am and 3pm. No appointments are necessary and people are invited to drop in throughout the day.

Other locations include The Bowes Museum in Barnard Castle and Newby Hall, near Ripon, with additional venues in Parbold, Southport, Coulby Newham and Stokesley. Event timings may vary and appointments are necessary at some venues, so please check the valuation events page on the website or call us on 01677 333003 for further details.

Valuation days are always great fun, as you never know what objects will be brought along. Many people have things tucked away at home that are actually worth quite a lot of money and even if you are not looking to sell an item, it is always sensible to have a piece valued for insurance purposes. Market trends do vary and an item that wasn’t worth a great deal ten years ago may have rocketed in value today.

While the valuations are free with no obligation, anyone wishing to sell an object may be given the option to sell it at one of our sales. Any estimates given at a valuation event are used as a guide price at auction. If the piece doesn’t reach its desired price then it doesn’t have to be sold so there is no risk at all to the seller.

We will be adding to the list of valuation days throughout the year, so please do keep an eye on the valuation events page on the website.

We look forward to meeting you!
