Our online Jewellery Sale on Saturday 28 November is packed full of dazzling antique, vintage and contemporary jewellery and watches, providing an ideal opportunity to pick up some one-off Christmas gifts.

There are almost 400 lots on offer - ranging from a stunning platinum diamond halo bracelet valued between £25,000 and £35,000 to a designer Danish silver brooch with a more modest price estimate of £30 to £50.

Auctions are an excellent opportunity to pick up really interesting pieces of individual jewellery at prices that rival any high street retailer. The quality is also often far superior and there is a greater chance of finding something that is not only unique but has added historical interest.

There are some stunning items in this particular sale with pieces to suit all tastes and budgets and in the current lockdown situation, being able to shop from the comfort of your own home is a real bonus.

At the top end of the price range is an eye-catching Burmese ruby, diamond and onyx cluster ring . It comes fully certified and is expected to reach between £12,000 and £14,000. Rubies command higher prices per carat than any other gemstone apart from coloured diamonds and Burmese ruby is the most sought after variety of ruby gemstone on account of its deep red colour and superior clarity.

Another standout piece is a striking figure group of a dancing couple that was made to celebrate Butler and Wilson's 50th anniversary in 2019. Encrusted in crystals, it stands 83cm high and carries a price estimate of £800 - £1,200. Butler and Wilson is synonymous with bold, glamorous crystal costume jewellery and counts royalty and celebrities amongst its fans, including the late Diana Princess of Wales and the Duchess of Cambridge.

More glamour comes from the Art Deco period, a distinctive style that became prominent in the 1920s, 30s and 40s. One example is a classic Art Deco sapphire and diamond bracelet that carries a price estimate of £18,000 - £25,000. Also featured is an Art Deco French platinum, ruby and diamond ring valued between £1,500 - £2,500 and an Art Deco style 18 carat white gold, sapphire and diamond bracelet with a guide price of £200 to £400.

The sale also includes quality ladies and gents’ watches and pocket watches, as well as cufflinks and charms. Brands include household names such as Omega, Rolex, Michel Herbelin, Gucci and Cartier.

On the day, bids can either be made via the website or by telephone. The sale takes place on Saturday 28 November starting at 1pm.
