Condition reports

We will be please to give condition reports and extra images on any lot wherever possible. These are free of charge and are an expert opinion on the age, condition and authenticity of an item.

Making bids in person

Please register at the office in advance of the auction, where you will receive a unique number with which to bid. You will need a form of photo ID such as a passport or driver’s license. Take your seat in the saleroom and when you wish to bid, raise your number in order to catch the auctioneer’s attention.

Leaving a commission bid

This can be done via the website, by telephone, by email or in person at our office. Simply state the highest price you would like to pay for the lot and we will purchase it for you at the lowest price possible, while taking the reserve price and any other bids into account. Commission bids must be submitted before the start of the sale.

Telephone bidding

If you let us know in advance of the sale which lots you are interested in then we can call you in time to bid through one of our saleroom representatives. Telephone lines must be booked by close of business on the day before the sale and are offered on a first-come-first-served basis.
