It used to be that the highest prices were automatically achieved by the larger city-based auction houses. This is no longer the case and in today’s online market place it is possible to reach all corners of the globe via the Internet and other media outlets.
We exploit these opportunities to the full and with the aid of our multi-media marketing skills and online auction platforms, we ensure that objects are put in front of the largest and most appropriate audiences to ensure the best possible sale results.
Elstob & Elstob is also keen to operate in a very transparent and straightforward way, making the buying and selling process easier for clients with no additional fees or hidden extras, making us one of the most competitive fine art and antiques auction houses in the region.
You can call into our Ripon office to obtain a free, no obligation valuation. We can also visit you at your home or business premises if this is more convenient or for the valuation of larger items or collections.
Following our specialist valuation, we will suggest a price estimate based on current market prices and trends. You may also wish to agree a reserve price prior to sale. This guarantees a minimum price for your item.
If you are unable to deliver your item to our saleroom then we can help arrange collection of your item. Please contact us for more details of this service.
Your item will be entered into the most appropriate auction. If it sells, you will be notified of the price and receive settlement statements and payment within ten working days, as long as we have cleared payment from the buyer. All results will be available on our website shortly after the auction has taken place.
Should your item not sell then no fee will be charged. You then have the option to either re-offer the item for inclusion at a future auction or collect it. If you choose to collect your lot this should be done within 28 days.
